SOCOWA is also a member of Better Coton Initiative, or BCI, and is entitled to sell cotton combers under this label.
This movement brings together actors of the whole garnment supply chain actors and aims at promoting environmental and social sustainability of cotton cultivation (efficient use of water, reduction of the use of pesticides, IPM Integrated Pest Management, better income for the farmers, scolarisation of children and adults training, …). Its members must seek a continuous improvement of their practices in order to create long-term change.
